"Denied" is the first professional production produced by DeCantillon Films. The film is a 70 minute  romantic drama starring Andrew Dawson and Holly Mann, directed and written by Timothy Reynard.

The film was made in association with North Yorkshire County Council's "Young Money" scheme, Sky Youth Action Awards and the National Lottery funded "The Big Boost".

The film was premiered alongside Ben Derrick's "Fashion Police" at the ODEON Harrogate cinema on 10th January 2008. Guests at the premiere included Phil Willis MP, Cllr. Cliff Trotter - the Mayor of Harrogate and the Academy Award nominated film director, Ken Russell.

"Denied" opened to critical acclaim and was reviewed in The Times, The Guardian and Yorkshire Post and also featured on BBC Look North and radio stations including 97.2 Stray FM and BBC Radio York.

SYNOPSIS:

In 2006, siblings Alexander and Elizabeth Manning raid the house of medical scientist, Everard DuPont. During the raid, they encounter DuPont's daughter, Celine and in the ensuing altercation, Celine ends up blinded in a car crash. After the crash, Celine starts to find life difficult; but everything changes when her path crosses Alexander's and the two form an unlikely bond. In this nail bitting drama, a twisted love story is revealed as Celine uncovers a devastating plot and sets out on a life risking crusade.
